Localization

Localization is an important part of communicating with your customers in a way that feels personalized and relevant.

When creating a message template in Studio, you can localize both the language of your text and any rich media that you’re using, such as images.

How localization works

When you use a localized message template in Campaigns, Flows, or Inbox, MessageBird will use information from Contacts to establish the language that each contact will receive.

For example, if you’re using a localized message template in Campaigns, and your audience is made up of some contacts with ‘English’ as their preferred language and some contacts with ‘Dutch’ as their preferred language, you can configure your campaign to send in both of those languages.

Contacts with 'English' as their preferred language will receive the message in English, and contacts with "Dutch" as their preferred language will receive the message in Dutch.
