Contact profiles

Every contact that is stored in Bird has a contact profile. This is where you can see all available data that you have about that contact.

View a contact profile

  1. From Audience > Contacts, find the contact you want to view.

  2. Click to select the contact. You'll be taken to the contact's profile.

Subscription statuses

Subscription statuses for WhatsApp, SMS, and Email are recorded on each contact's profile.

Identifying properties

In the 'Identifiers' section of a contact profile, unique information such as phone numbers and email addresses are stored.

An identifier is a unique piece of information, such as a phone number or email address, that is used to identify a specific contact in your contact directory.

Bird properties

In the 'Bird' section, additional properties are stored. These properties are sourced from CSV imports, by adding individual contacts manually, or by updating a contact's profile in Inbox or via Flows.

Bird properties are non-unique pieces of information that are connected to a contact profile, and can be used to personalize customer experiences.

Here's the information you can find by default in the Bird properties section:

  • Display name

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Avatar URL

  • Country

  • Created at

  • Updated at

  • SMS subscription

  • Email subscription

  • WhatsApp subscription

  • Locales

  • Gender

  • Lists

Integration properties

Connector properties are sourced from installing integrations, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Shopify. On a contact's profile, these properties will be displayed below the Bird properties.

Activity

The 'Activity' panel is a visual timeline of every event that a contact has engaged with. This includes events from within Bird, such as campaigns they've been sent, and events from installed ecommerce connectors, such as an abandoned checkout in Shopify.

You can filter the activity panel by event type and date.

Here's the event types you can find in the Activity section:

  • Message bounced

  • Message delivered

  • Message marked spam

  • Message opened

  • Message subscribed

  • Message unsubscribed

  • Message link clicked

  • WhatsApp message sent

  • WhatsApp message read

  • WhatsApp reply clicked

  • Email unsubscribed

  • Email delivered

  • SMS message sent

  • SMS link clicked

  • SMS message delivered
