Use an end journey step in a journey

In this article, you'll learn how to add an end journey step to a journey. This allows you to terminate a journey at a specific step.

End journey steps can only be added at the end of a conditional path, or an entire journey. You can't add an end journey step in the middle of a path.

Good to know

The 'end journey' step is useful when:

  • A conditional step branches the journey into multiple paths.

  • You want to intentionally terminate one branch once a specified conversion or goal is met.

  • You have complex journeys with numerous branches or nested conditionals and wish to end specific paths at specific points.

What you'll need

  • A journey with two or more steps, and/or a conditional step.

Step one: Add the end journey step

  1. Hover your mouse pointer over the last node of the journey tree or over a conditional step’s path you’ll see an ‘add step’ icon.

  2. Select the add a step icon.

  3. Select the End journey step.

Success! You've added an end journey step.
